Camp registration is only available to those who are accepted into the camp once the audition process is over.

A full refund (minus a $50 handling fee) will be assessed on all cancellations requested by 4:00 p.m. on May 2, 2025. No food/housing refunds are available after this date, but partial refunds for the camp may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please send an email regarding your situation to youthcamps@byu.edu. No refunds will be given after May 2, 2025.
Scholarships
All-State Participants Awards
Students who have participated in their state’s All-State Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, or Choir in the MOST RECENT year may be eligible for a Tuition Scholarship Award to the Musicians’ Institute or SummerFestival.
In order to receive the scholarship, you must provide evidence of participation either through a scanned copy of the program showing the date of the concert and your name in the program or a letter from your school’s music director indicating your participation. We cannot award a scholarship without one of these options of proof of participation.

Food and Housing
All camp participants will receive daily lunches as part of their registration.
Campus Food and Housing Package includes:
Food: Monday (lunch) through Saturday (breakfast)
Housing: Monday night through Friday night
Checkout: Saturday by 9:00 a.m.
You may decide to purchase the food and housing package and stay in the residence halls during your camp experience. You can request a friend as a roommate, or you can choose to be assigned a roommate and make a new friend. The residence halls are fun places to hang out with counselors, play games, talk with new buddies, and relax.
A camp counselor will be there for you and your new friends. You will have a wonderful time getting to know your counselor and will come to love and look up to him or her. The camp counselors are current BYU students, so you can feel free to ask any of them about their college experiences. These camp counselors will also be great support to you throughout the week.
Separate residence hall buildings are provided for girls and boys. Participants of the opposite sex are never allowed in your bedrooms. You can have your new guy or girl friends hang out in the residence hall lobbies.
To make your camp experience pleasant for you and everyone else, make sure you bring enough clean clothes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, and any other toiletries necessary. Towel exchange happens every Wednesday, so if you want another fresh towel, please bring one from home.

Travel
Parking and Personal Vehicles
We do not encourage you to bring your car to campus. If you need to bring a vehicle or if you need parking on the first day, please park in the visitor lots shown on the campus map or in C lots around the residence hall. You are not allowed to use your car to transport other participants during the camp. Participants staying in the residence halls are required to give their keys to their counselor until Saturday morning.
If you are staying on campus, you are not allowed to go off-campus unless you have a parental release form stating where and with whom you are going and how long you will be gone.
Driving Instructions
If you are driving to Provo via I-15 southbound or northbound, take the BYU-Orem University Parkway Exit (#269) and head east toward Y Mountain (big Y painted on it).
This street (University Parkway) will take you past University Mall and bring you into Provo.
When the check-in locations have been finalized, we will post detailed driving instructions.
Admission and Standards
Participants of any race, color, creed, and ethnic or national origin are accepted for admission to this program provided they maintain university standards while on campus. These include modesty in dress and conduct and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, and harmful drugs.
We are committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. At least two weeks before the start of the program, applicants with disabilities are invited to discuss the program content and available facilities with the program director.
Dress and Appearance
Youth are expected to abide by the BYU Dress and Grooming Standards at all camp activities, including meals. The Cannon Center will not allow youth to enter the cafeteria if they are not dressed according to BYU standards. Shorts and skirts that are a few inches above the knee, and swimsuits, are not acceptable in the cafeteria.
