Elevate Your Musical Talent at the BYU Musicians' Institute
Are you an elite musician looking to take your skills to the next level? The BYU Musicians’ Institute is designed for young musicians ages 14–18 who are passionate about refining their craft and working with some of the best in the field. This exclusive program, held just before the BYU Musicians’ SummerFestival, offers intensive training in chamber music, solo literature, and jazz improvisation, all coached by BYU’s world-renowned music faculty.
Important Note: The BYU Musicians’ Institute requires an audition for acceptance, and spaces are limited—so be sure to submit your audition as soon as possible!
The Institute runs from Tuesday to Saturday, right before SummerFestival, and focuses on winds, brass, strings, and jazz combos. Whether you’re performing in a chamber ensemble or working on solo pieces, you’ll receive personalized attention from expert instructors to elevate your musical abilities.
We highly encourage those accepted into the Musicians' Institute to also participate in the full SummerFestival experience, which offers additional performance opportunities, enriching electives, and a chance to engage with other talented musicians. Institute participants will also receive a special discount for SummerFestival enrollment.
